NOT Jim :-)

Very sarcastic...always laughing. Can't take a joke? Leave.

Proud U.S. Air Force brat and veteran!
They can be. The last trump tariffs did not contribute to overall inflation and it reduced the trade deficit by $443 billion dollars.

Years of war and you think the deal was reached because of Joe, who tried repeatedly throughout the last couple years. They know what's coming in five days if they don't...

BUT...I'm just happy they are going home. Still praying for their safe return.

I'm sure, because Putin likes having the pipeline Trump stopped, but Biden let him have to finance his war. And I heard Xi was looking forward to the massive tariffs. That's logical. :-)

Negatively impacted and definitely overlooked as one we'd like to forget...

Funny how Kamala made that list since she didn't make any election gains in a single county in the United States over Joe Biden...

One of the top 25 most influential women could not move just ONE of 3,144 needles (U.S. counties) further to the left of Biden.

I can't disagree with the first part of your statement. So let me ask you this.

Isn't YOUR first objective to make as much money as you can?

Isn't every politician's objective to make as much as they can?

The key is who's more efficient. It's not the government.

I admit, I did not read your article, because I am aware that many companies did the stock buyback. I already knew it.

I'm not denying what you say is true in some cases. What I am saying is that many companies did MORE.

Yes, greed exists. But the collective benefit outweighs the negative.

If you're referring to hate...we can't escape it. I'm still on X. I like X, but I have to ignore idiots.

It's up to us to decide who to let in. I've always kept it respectful, and disengage once people start being insulting. No point continuing after that...

That was ONE article. Keep reading. Much, much more came out since then. Raises (permanent ones), bonuses, hiring more people, etc.

I know with my own company, they gave us twice the annual raise we normally got, a bonus which we NEVER got, and they hired 20% more workforce.

And many of those huge companies paid it forward too...many articles like these.

And yet, federal revenues shot to all-time highs, paid for primarily by the rich (corporate tax receipts) over time...which would theoretically allow them to help more people in need, right?

Go Figure: Federal Revenues Hit All-Time Highs Under Trump Tax Cuts
Critics of the Trump tax cuts said they would blow a hole in the deficit. Yet individual income taxes climbed 6% in the just-ended fiscal 2018.

Hopefully not in that order.
December 6, 2024 at 12:55 PM
That is never going to change. Lobbying is the "Wall Street" of D.C.

Regretfully, that is a fact of our government.
December 6, 2024 at 12:54 PM
Sounds like we have more common ground than not.

Perhaps Trump is not the best example of what I am talking about here. I think he's an arrogant, narcissistic, ass who cares more about what people think of him...but I don't disagree with what he is trying to do because I think it helps us.
December 6, 2024 at 12:52 PM
Agreed.
December 6, 2024 at 12:50 PM
Really....what bridge? :-)
December 6, 2024 at 12:50 PM
And currently, MY son is making more than I am right now 20 years earlier than I did....and I gave my son nothing except a hand with rent payments from time to time when he got laid off during COVID.

Sometimes it takes a generation or two, but you can build it.
December 6, 2024 at 12:48 PM
Perhaps. I think it's normal for a rich person to produce "rich kids" because it will give them a better starting point, yes. But I can also say that my father did better than HIS father (and mine joined the Air Force). And I am doing better than my father by a mile.
December 6, 2024 at 12:47 PM
After the Trump tax cuts, American workers had bigger paychecks and we had the lowest poverty rate in history. Unemployment were also at historic lows (at the time).

Where is the evidence that is DOESN'T work?
December 6, 2024 at 12:45 PM
I think the government should be there for emergencies and temporary assistance. But I'm one of those "give them a fish or teach them to fish" kind of people.
December 6, 2024 at 12:43 PM
Yes, they ALSO made more money....but they gave more money to their people too. It's a two-sided coin.
