I’m currently using BlueSky via the mobile web (yes I’m one of those people who abhors apps) and so far, so good.

I’m guessing it’s to cover themselves for the rampant age verification laws that are making the rounds. Pretty soon, any site that allows user contributed content will likely follow suite.

The only issue with this report is that some accounts are being mislocated by X. for example, @hankgreen.bsky.social said that his account is being located in Japan.
