also wanna add that I still think episode 1 is my favorite out of all of them so far just for how it handles it's mystery aspects and it's finale being the way it is without spoiling the whole thing. Also spoilers for the ending of episode 1 here but was BAFFLED.

I am not 100% on where this will end up for me in comparison to Higurashi (I also think I just need to do a reread because it's been like 13 years since i've seen the anime and like 8 years since I read the whole thing) but if it keeps up the quality I think it might beat Meakashi and Saikoroshi
