Evidently Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness means crap to Mike Johnson and many in Congress. What could be more relevant to those words in our Constitution than keeping citizens alive and well? Yet they let ACA subsidies expire and put healthcare out of reach for millions of Americans.

Headline 'New Trump tariffs collection hits $200 billion, Customs says.' 'No sh*t, raising taxes on people and companies means the government collects more money. ’ US citizens say. Just raise the corporate tax and income tax on high incomes rather than regressive tariffs. Allow guest workers too.

MAGA Make agriculture go away.

I guess Putin has secretly given Trump enough money and promises of future wealth for him to sell out Europe and Ukraine. Maybe China did the same in order to get Nvidia chips. History will be a harsh judge. Hopefully midterms will be too. Maybe Magas with no health insurance will wake up.

Can anyone do this math? The cost of ICE salaries and deportation. The total cost of services spent on illegal immigrants. The amount of taxes illegal immigrants pay without any benefits in return, the loss of goods and services they spend on. Businesses hurt by vacancies. The results may be bad.

Yay, we got a decent jobs report that may or may not be real, based on the fact that Trump fired the last objective person in charge. And now we're less likely to get a Fed cut. Wow, such a smart administration!

We pay more for food because inflation is real DESPITE what they say. Tariffs are taxes we pay DESPITE their claims. ACA costs have doubled DESPITE their 'fixing' it. Epstein files exist DESPITE their denials. ICE tramples our Constitution and hurts our economy DESPITE their claims of safety.

Ironically Democrats and the courts are giving Republicans a chance in midterms by fighting to extend Obamacare subsidies and overturning tariffs. Will Trump be smart enough to accept that gift? Unlikely. He will not be saved from himself.

Many Fed members speak next week. Aside from a couple outliers they usually coalesce around a single message. They will likely say emphatically, per Powell's 'far from it,' that they're unsure about a December cut. Methinks they doth protest too much. It likely means a cut is coming.

When the court rightly rules these tariffs unconstitutional, just raise corporate taxes 2%! You'll save small businesses getting crushed by tariffs by making companies like Microsoft pay their fair share. And you'll decrease inflation on the consumer that these tariffs cause.
November 5, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Despite Powell's December comment, Mag 7 is still printing money, we have China tariff clarity, the government will reopen, advisors will chase returns to eoy. Buy the dip, reassess eoy.

Is the new exorbitant charge for H-1B visas a ploy to make the country more white or to keep dumbing down the country by defunding colleges and keeping out the world's best and brightest? Either way we're dumbing down the US. Google, Nvidia, Tesla heads etc wouldn't have been here. Scary.

Trump said he wouldn't ask for a cease fire because one side wouldn't want to give up an advantage. Translation: my pal Vlad is on the offensive, has the upper hand and may force Ukraine to give up. Lord help us deal with this president.

PPI high, but the courts may find tariffs not allowed. Think that will send the market up?

That moron RFK is shuttering mRNA research, killing a bright spot in the treatment of many diseases. He's potentially responsible for the unnecessary deaths of thousands or millions. F him.

When Trump sings his executive order allowing private equity, crypto, and private real estate into 401ks, 2 things will likely happen. A short term bubble in banks offering private funds, a bubble in crypto, and relevant REITS rising. Long term, we'll likely get a retirement crises akin to 2008.
August 7, 2025 at 4:39 PM
If you build it he will cum. Just tell Trump you're going to spend billions building in the US and he'll get so excited he'll cancel your tariffs.
August 7, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Tariffs are a tax that allows businesses to decide how it will be applied. So weird! Companies can choose to eat some of the tax or levy it fully on the consumer and maybe squeeze the supplier too. I guess the power to tax no longer lies with Congress. Bye bye Constitution, you've been great.

Bottom line. Will a new BLS head using the same data come out with different labor numbers?
August 4, 2025 at 12:08 PM
I wouldn't do an emergency cut post downward employment revisions because it would spook the market. But I would calmly explain why I'm cutting .5 % as a data dependent Fed who got relevant subsequent data.

When will Trump fire the head of the National Weather Service for the flooding in Texas?
August 1, 2025 at 11:55 PM
Trump fires BLS commissioner for bad labor report, says report is political. Ha! Next, Trump fires head of National Weather service, says Texas floods are political.

A person who inherited his money, filed for 6 bankruptcies, and was found to be fraudulent numerous times is mismanaging our economy. We're surprised why?
August 1, 2025 at 9:42 AM
Even though the Fed should lower, we reached highs at the current rate. No reason the Fed holding should mean we won't go higher. It's earnings that matter.
July 30, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Powell said tight policy brings down inflation. Possibly untrue if tariffs cause inflation.
