I’m no scholar, but I don’t recall the Athenians going all in on “the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must” and I hope Americans remember, as we sometimes do, that we were founded on the idea that humans have natural rights that naked power shouldn’t trample.

None of it legitimate or valid. It's not like tracing this to someone like Mike Flynn who was failing to disclose foreign emoluments that is a violation of his retirement annuity...while helping the Turks to plan a kidnapping.
