To the younger generation: PLEASE stop writing enquiry emails with ChatGPT, or at least edit them if you do. It’s such a bad first impression if I have to try and decipher why your email sounds so strange. A badly written personal email is SUCH a better introduction than a bizarre ChatGPT one.

It is hilarious to me that on Pokémon TCG Pocket I have the gold crown Mew Ex and the two star Mew Ex but not the ordinary one, despite doing at least 10 wonder picks specifically for it 😂 I can’t exactly claim I’m unlucky, and yet!

I don’t know what it says about me that I started a Bluesky account to keep up with my fellow science communicators but I spend most of my time reading posts about Pokémon TCG Pocket instead. Perhaps we all just need a little nostalgia and fun to keep us going in these tough times 😂

I always find it interesting how the brain (or mine at least) can stay perfectly calm under immense stress, but then breakdown once everything’s over. It’s presumably a survival instinct, but it does feel strange to feel totally overwhelmed by the stress of the past rather than the present.

In today’s D&D session, the party decided that killing the man that was threatening them with a sword was barbaric… so they locked him and his four unarmed allies in a dungeon in the middle of a desert to starve to death instead. Ah yes, much more civilised 😌.

Today I performed with the West End Musical Choir for the first time! We were on the staircase just inside the O2 and there’s another performance shortly if you’re in the area. It was great fun, and just proves that my health progress has come on leaps and bounds over the past three years 😁!
