California is delivering on addressing homelessness, with Oakland receiving nearly $139M in Homekey funds to create nearly 600 units of supportive housing over the last five years.

Oakland gets $33 million for supportive housing on 35th Ave.

The state grant is the 11th for Oakland in five years through California’s Homekey program. It will support 109 affordable apartments.

Yesterday, I presented to the East Bay Wildfire Coalition on the work the State is doing on wildfire mitigation. Thanks to Prop 4, $1.5B is being allocated toward wildfire prevention and forest health, and our newly extended cap-and-invest program will provide an additional $4B.
