I was at a station in Paris last month where the headways were 2 minutes. It was 6pm and each train was packed full of people. We waited for a train with more room knowing that in 2 minutes another would be rolling in. It was quite amazing.

The promise of high speed rail really comes alive when walkable cities are connected. Connecting Atlanta to DC or Chicago would be huge. The more walkable Atlanta and other cities become the more exciting high speed rail becomes.

I have always considered her behavior to be insane so the last couple months of sobriety have been jarring.
