UPDATE: This incident was a hit-and-run. Victim is a 70-year-old female who is injured. She was transported to Eskenazi by medics.

The City seems to agree with AES that residential customers - that's you and me - should be even MORE responsible for their profits.
This report is dense and complicated, so I'm sure there are more outrages here - but I'm already furious.

The City just agreed to settle with AES to let them raise your rates by 6.51% - a higher percentage than the increase for commercial or industrial customers.

The Office of Utility Consumer Counselor and Citizens Action Coalition refused to settle with AES on their request for a rate increase.

The City Council unanimously asked AES to withdraw its case.

But Joe Hogsett and the City of Indianapolis decided to make a separate peace.
