That’s along the lines of what I said (that the paper is mostly interested in maintaining its power, and that the structure of access journalism requires reporters to scratch the backs of their sources in order to maintain said access). Appreciate your work and your response!

I’m in the middle of this and loving it. I just spent some time with my mom, and in discussing your book she wondered why The NY Times in particular is reporting copaganda and publishing “experts” who are copagandists in disguise. What would be a succinct response for her?
