Had a dream in which I was putting gym equipment on a flat roof top. Realising that they can easily be stolen, I chain-locked them and put stickers on them to make them look rusty. Then I put a note next to them saying how very cheap they are. Now I am wondering, can we think logically in dreams?

I recently went to a restaurant in London. When I asked for the bill, the waitress pointed me to a QR code on the table. I clicked through to the app and found that there is a charge by using the app on top of the total bill, which has already included a service charge of 13.5%!!

I think it is clear that the chocolate covers the "bottom" side of the biscuits, but I eat them with the chocolate side up because that's "naturally" the less messy way, holding each biscuit by the side. I wonder if it tastes different if flipped 🤔 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
'People have been eating chocolate digestives wrong for 100 years'
The digestive biscuits were originally intended to be eaten with the chocolate side facing down.

So far of the five github repos I cloned, none of them could be successfully built in my local environment out of the box. The problems were all related to dependencies incompatibility. Perhaps github could introduce continuous quality testing for repos and issue "blue ticks" to those who pass?

Learning Rust feels like I am a very good admin to my old self - things that I wanted to have when programming in other languages are one by one being ticked off.

Today I made a call to a US customer service, the person I talked to helped with my request and before ending the call, without me asking, told me that my account is intact, so don't worry. I didn't sound worried because I wasn't, but I really appreciate the extra step the person took to be helpful!

Observed: At a train station I visited recently, on their departure times boards at each platform show a person signing along with the text. If that's for the same information, why is it needed? If it's not for the same information, then people can't understand sign language would not get it..

Today I did a thing: Told a non-technical person that I would put my code up on github. The person paused, then asked me to spell it out, so I did. After the conversation ended, I returned home, made dinner, ate dinner..then realised why the person paused and looked at me in a puzzled way!
