Always exciting to see my designs actually in print -- proud to work with Marc Sapir, author of I'll Fly Away to place this advertisement with The Nation :) His book is a collection of moving portraits that humanize the elderly and disabled. A poignant read for the sandwich generation.
An ad for I'll Fly Away is shown on a page of The Nation. The ad says - Respecting Life: 40 deeply human stories reveal the resilience, joy, and humor of elders facing life's final chapters. There are three glowing reviews for the book connected to a 3D image of the book cover by squiggly arrows. The ad is playful and colorful.

One of the most interesting parts -- are scientists actually discouraged from making nice science graphs/art because of biases? I'm paraphrasing, but Felice essentially says she's heard people say things like -- if it looks that good, it's probably compensating for the science not being as good

Why are most #science visuals so bad? On @scifri.bsky.social one of the top science photographers in the world, MIT's Felice Frankel, discusses why we need more than "pretty pictures" to share new science research with the public.

Ps @briantallerico.bsky.social review from TIFF is spot on. www.rogerebert.com/festivals/ti... I’m jealous he got to see it 10 months before I did. This movie made me really appreciate what and who I have in my life.

Just saw such a beautiful film. If you’re looking for an antidote for cynicism, or missing the Ted Lasso vibe - go see Life of Chuck. This feels like a movie I’m adding to my annual rotation of films that help me live my life how I want to live it. #moviesky #MondayMysteryMovie

What is your favorite #RevengeFilm of all time?

James Kimmel lists some good ones - Princess Bride, John Wick, etc. For my part, it's anything with the king of revenge, he of the "special set of skills" -- Liam Neeson.

I’m here for more Josh Hartnett movies. He’s super fun in #FightOrFlight he needs to be in a lot more movies. This is a silly, bloody summer movie if you can suspend belief on almost every plot point ;)

Win a copy of I'll Fly Away a moving collection of stories about disabled elders that shows how we can help seniors live with autonomy, dignity, and joy - www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sho... #Win #giveaway #Bookstagram #booksky 📚💙

An editor's pick from @PublishersWkly Book Life
Three copies of I'll Fly Away are fanned out. The cover is peaceful blues and purples with a white etching of an elderly man using a cane walking through a flock of birds. The text is the review from Publishers Weekly Book Life - "Swells with powerful anecdotes . . . [Sapir] takes his patients' lives to heart, illuminating their vitality, self-identities, and personal preferences when it comes to death and dying."

So incredibly frustrating. I feel for the parents who just want to mourn their son and let the police and courts run their course, but are forced to interact with these grotesques.

A great looking book cover. Love the repetition of Somebody - both calling out that we often are looking for someone ELSE to do it, but also that there are so many of us somebodies out there. Love it.

First #MondayMysteryMovie that I didn’t like :( I’m a kid of 80s movies but I am sort of glad that we moved on from Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story, & Labyrinth. Other people will love it I guess - www.rogerebert.com/reviews/the-...

Finally watched Pig - what a strange and moving experience. I know I’m four years late but dang the actors should have gotten all the accolades. This review by @mattzollerseitz.bsky.social does a great job of harnessing the weird - www.rogerebert.com/reviews/pig-... - without giving everything away.
