I have discovered Tubi is a great way to dip your toes in tokusatsu. Free, easy (no trawling for fansibs on weird websites) and a decent selection of sentai, kamen rider, and ultraman. And like all of power rangers. Tubi is so rad!

Right? And if you don’t like it schedule a trip out of town that weekend haha. Seems unlikely there will be many future air shows at shearwater again. I think since it’s a heliport only it does create a lot of logistic challenges for the air show team

If you look up shearwater in the phone book, you get the museum and its foundation, but to call the actual base you have to look for 12 wing or cfb shearwater (whichever was accurate at the time) and civilians didn’t know to do that. So I got a lot of frustrated misdirected calls

This one is my favourite haha. Last time the air show was a shearwater, I worked at the museum. Monday after air show my voicemail will full of people who lived near the base complaining that they would have an air show at the active military base they knowingly bought a house next to

I am realizing it will be messier to take my helmet on and off all weekend at the con than I anticipated 🙂 probably a flat bum, and maybe I will do a wide headband to keep their hair strays at bay, but not introduce too much more stuff to keep heat in there

I drive to the ferry, then ride my bike from Halifax side to my destination. This is in part because husband and I frequently take the ferry together. I never thought to ride from Cole harbour to ferry, next time I don’t have a tight morning schedule I might try that!

Plus ferry ride, could have knocked a few short politics podcasts off the queue. Oh well!
