Let me preface this by saying that I’m a Jane Austen fangirl, I’ve read all of the books and I’ve seen all the movie and mini series adaptations more times than I can count. With that being said, Persuasion is SO goddamn boring. Nine chapters in on this reread and a fat lot of nothing has happened.

The high of Kendricks performance has already worn off and the reality that art isn’t going to save us, in fact nothing is going to save us, is settling back in like a parasite eating away at my sanity.
