Apparently tge novelisation by Moffat has some nonsense about The Doctor only being able to see in black & white in his first two incarnations. At least that never made it into the TV script!

But of course he believes anyone emigrating *from* the UK is at the top of the gene pool (whatever that means) but anyone emigrating from another country *into* the UK is at the bottom. Eugenics at its finest.
