AND LIKE i wouldnt even mind paying 100-150 for somethhing nice! for a little modern thing w cool features that was made well and was reliable and had support of diff file types and whatever!! but all the modern stuff is a second phone or controls like shit!! fuck!!!!!

and even ipods rn FOR PARTS are fucking 50-60 bucks. plus the parts for any modding or repair get u up to 200 or more so quick. its torture, its real hell torture. i jsut want. a cute little thing. that controls ok and has my music on it. and is decently made. fuck my guinea pig life.

affordable options are unfortunately dogshit somehow. the controls suck, its cheaply made, it has 1gb of storage on it. it sucks. supports only mp3 files which like fine whatever but i'd like the option for FLAC or WAV if i want .. ;;

and i go "okay well i dont want a phone i just want something like an ipod to listen to music on. and this is ALSO like $100-$200." And, like, I'm willing to put out a little bit of cash but i do not want to spend a crazy amt of money for a 2nd phone. idc abt streaming, or video, or whatever

but holy shit i cannot find an option i like at all. its kind of driving me crazy. now that ipods are in demand, used ones are like anywhere between 100-200 usd. and i go "okay well thats crazy, i might as well get something new". All the new shit is android based and its basically a phone.

I have wanted a DAP for quite a while. i rly like music. i dont want to pay a subscription for it, plain and simple. i think me along with most ppl right now are diving back into their single use tech bc we like to own things. etc etc.
