Happy New Year! I hope this holiday season has been joyful for you. Sadly many families have felt the squeeze this year as costs continue to skyrocket. That’s why in 2026 we will:

✅increase the housing supply
✅address child care costs
✅cut gov’t red tape

It was an honor to attend the ribbon cutting for the Puller Veterans Care Center, a state-of-the-art new skilled nursing facility for veterans in Vint Hill. Thanks to all who had a hand in the planning and construction, and to the hardworking medical staff who care for those who served.

Barbara Johns was a trailblazer: at only 16 years old, she led a student protest against school segregation that echoed throughout the nation. It was incredibly moving to see her statue in the U.S. Capitol as a proper representation of Virginia.

Earlier this month, I had the privilege to speak at the Symposium on Young American Men about the disastrous effects of social media on men and young people in general. It’s critical that lawmakers in Virginia and the rest of the country act to ensure we do not lose a generation of young men.

Last week, I welcomed @gabbygiffords.bsky.social to Manassas! Her resilience is admirable as she continues to show up for Dems and advocate for safer communities.

National Republicans want to slash funding and standards for our students.

VA House Democrats worked across the aisle to pass a budget to fully fund our schools and challenge our kids.

Reproductive freedom is a right. It is imperative that we protect the House, elect @abigailspanberger.com, and pass the amendment codifying abortion access in Virginia’s constitution.

Today we remember the men and women who lost their lives in one of the biggest atrocities to occur on U.S. soil.
