Don't you see the disconnect in how Hillary Clinton was pilloried over a bill her husband signed ... by supporters of a congressman who voted for it? If it was horrendous legislation from the beginning, why are you letting a legislator off the hook for his support?

I once asked him about how he has the nerve to talk like he spends his days breaking his back on a factory floor when in fact he is the epitome of an elite institutional pipeline and he blocked me...

Guess I stuck a nerve

Sam Haselby's entire act is pretending the MAGA project is earnestly working class, but from the left. That's why he has such a bone against you for disputing this narrative. It's funny when you find out he went to an elite private school, Harvard and Columbia. He's the last thing from blue collar

Nate Silver has become a vector of what I call the "anti-anti Trump brigade". These people deep down don't like the guy. They think they're above the the likes of Catturd/the MAGA cult of personality. But they dislike liberals more than they dislike Trump so they end up sharing something in common
December 17, 2025 at 1:07 AM
It's because there is no consistency. If Nate Silver was consistent he wouldn't have stopped banging the drum after January 20th about an old president's health concerns

Same with the outrage over the Hunter pardon vs his silence on the pardons of those who conspired to overturn the 2020 election
December 17, 2025 at 1:01 AM
Part of this is because of the fact he wasn't old enough to experience the 2008, 2012 and 2016 elections as they happened and therefore his "analysis" comes from the position of working backwards to try and fit the pieces the way he wants them to be in 2025. Rather than what they actually were
December 15, 2025 at 12:37 PM
He doesn't explain what he means by "failed on the southern border". He just left it at that.

So what do you believe? Is it that he thinks Biden should have been stricter on immigration so the American public wouldn't have an incentive to go for Donald Trump? If so, why doesn't he say it?

Him and LBJ are Greek tragedy figures. Very stilted personalities, extremely paranoid, scarred by growing up poor and being seen as weak. Resented JFK as a rich kid who was handed everything. Reached the top of the mountain but the longer it lasted the more they hated the view from the top.

It's not gone lost on me that the most vocal people against her running are the ones who think Graham Platner deserves a shot even after the Nazi tattoo, the reddit posts being bigoted, the volunteering for a private military contractor etc. I wonder what the difference is....

Look in the mirror pal. You've posted almost 7000 times on bluesky. Get a life

Code Pink aren't anti-war when they do apologia and propaganda for Russia's invasion and war crimes in Ukraine. They're fine with tanks rolling in in that case ... just mad the people being subjugated didn't just submit. Evidently so are you

There seems to be a sort of new-media age of pundits who are now guilty of being what they accused old-media of: being "pundit-brained" where everything is treated like chess where every move the Dems make is wrong and yet when Dems win a game of chess it's in spite of their moves, not because of it
November 10, 2025 at 12:11 PM
Why is this the only response you have made to all the other comments? If you can't answer that question can you answer this: why do you LARP as some kind of working class blue collar whisperer when you are not working class blue collar but rather the PMC media professional you accuse others of?

Firstly 4 years is longer than 10 months. Secondly the number of Covid deaths under Biden included a large number of people who refused the vaccine just because it was Biden giving it out. Her logic implies it's the Democrats fault for that. How? Because they won the election instead of Trump?
October 27, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Taylor Lorenz got caught being without a mask at her book launch event after scolding everyone for not wearing a mask well past 2020. Her excuse was she paid thousands to have continuous clean air ventilation. Gee, not everyone has that disposable wealth and trusted the efficacy of a free vaccine.

i mean i don't think you can separate any of this discussion from the fact that so many of the participants are men who clearly have hang-ups about their inability to perform a certain kind of blue collar masculinity

Sam Haselby spends everyday claiming Dems have too many academic liberals who don't understand working class culture ... while he went to an elite private school, elite universities, and his entire career has been in academia doing "the geography of New York through a Marxist lens"

Beyond parody

A lot of the biggest leftist media influencers whether it's Hasan Piker, Emma Vigeland, Nathan Robinson, Brianna Joy Gray, Krystal Ball etc grew up rich and/or went to elite universities. They have a theoretical view of what the blue collar working class man is based on a textbook about the 1950s.
October 25, 2025 at 2:12 AM
But I also think there's an element of leftist insecurity projecting here. The truth is the leftist media sphere and movement at large is not working class/blue collar/rural. The DSA had its own census not long ago where the average income of membership is in the middle class bracket.
October 25, 2025 at 2:09 AM
I agree. Their theory essentially is that the WWC who voted for Trump three times are mindless elves who don't know what they really want. Maybe you could listen to that in 2016. But after four years of Trump when his signature economic policy was a massive tax cut for the rich? That's bullshit.
October 25, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Both Fetterman and Platner came from backgrounds that raised them comfortably middle class. Fetterman went to Harvard. Platner went to a private school and has an grandparent with a Wikipedia page as an architect.
October 25, 2025 at 2:03 AM
That's exactly it but the problem is these kind of pundits are projecting. They want to act like vibes alone can win back blue collar voters (get a big beefy candidate) without having the self awareness that if you actually have been in the blue collar environment people sniff phoniness quickly
