Here’s a clip from my first time participating in an aerial competition! I was honored to be there & to be performing among so many talented people — my two coaches included! Thank you Top from Kommont Studio for getting me ready for this! 🙏

I agree that accessible changes are imperative.
I’d suggest counting the number and variety of plants you consume rather than the calories.
Not only is it easier to count plants than it is to track net calories, it’s also a more wholesome and gentle approach to improving your diet/ health.

Water with meals & consuming raw foods will definitely reduce calorie intake, but good food is more transformative than that!
Putting weight-loss aside, in terms of gut health & overall wellbeing, there’s no replacement for intact fibers of whole grains and other plants (I generally prefer cooked).

The elephant in the room is fiber. The more a food is processed, generally the less fiber it has. Whole foods are the healthiest way to go if you’re looking to reduce calories/ curb weight gain. Digesting 100cal or whole foods burns more calories than digesting 100cal of processed foods. Eat dates 😋

It’s a disservice to associate this brilliant resource with your bad attitude. Good information can be shared without putting people down.

What is “just calories” and why would one opt for artificial sweeteners? Is this a dieting perspective?
I think the crux of the matter is that one wouldn’t add as much sweetening to their warm beverages if they ate fewer processed foods which overstimulate their yum receptors w/salt, sugar, & oil.

Fortunately/unfortunately it doesn’t take 20 years for the consequences of the cheap yummy food to be measurable.

I hope you’re having fun with the family! I would have loved this Easter activity as a child! Have you tried decorating quail eggs? (Are those getting pricier these days too?)

Having finished reading #everythingistuberculosis for the first time, unexpectedly before its publishing date, I am left in awe, inspired, and grateful.
Once again, John Green has plucked at my heartstrings. EiT is an empowering invitation to care for each other. Lovingly, he extends an open palm.
