I think their position is that the OP is the one perpetrating that erasure, w/ the first two sentences listing off issues they have with the post.

Though taking issue with “saneist lang.” seems to prevent them from parsing that nowhere is it claimed that this is the *worst* thing a gov has done

additionally, taking issue with the “saneist” language seems to prevent them from parsing the difference between “irrational” and “egregious.”

OP never said it was the *worst* thing a government has done!

Don’t know what to tell you other than local cops behave this way too, and have for ages. This happened ~seven months ago and was BSO all the way

Because *he is a cop.*

This was Broward County Sheriff’s Office, not ICE; and it happened seven months ago.

(No internal investigation, either)

The cops did’t “allow” this to happen; they’re the ones who did it. ICE was not at all involved.

Detained—by Broward County Sheriff’s Office, not ICE, who were not at all involved with this event—taken to the hospital as a precaution, and released to his family.

Seven months ago, when this took place.

Also that mistake might be easier to forgive if he *had* recognized it—if the story broke and he could say “oh, that thing? Big mistake. Didn’t know what it was; got it covered up in 2008.”

But he didn’t! He had that ink for like 20 yrs and didn’t recognize it as a mistake until he was called out!

Doesn’t even need to necessarily come to that—though it will, I’ve no doubt—because even the threat of that happening is probably enough to depress turnout!

She also only announced, what, a week ago? I know she’s gov so she’s got built in name recognition but I have to think he’s picking up a *bit* based on his campaign to date alone, no?

You see it happen a lot in Fenway—a heads-up left fielder can track a fly ball as though he’s gonna catch it to hold the runners, then turn and catch it on a bounce off the Monster and catch them for a force out before they can advance.

Wentz is the 1st QB--which is all that Lewis states in the story you source--but he's not even the only person *dressing for MIN on Sunday* who can make that claim.

Nick Vannett started for *7* teams from 2019 to 2024: SEA (1 game), PIT (6), DEN (2), NO (3), NYG (3), LAC (5), and TEN (10).

I’m okay with that tbh—it’s pretty gnarly, and the newsworthiness isn’t hampered by showing a censored version.

Also certainly easy to link to an unaltered version hosted off-site, no?
