As the UK’s single largest trading partner, the idea has its advocates. UK exports of goods and services to the EU were worth £358bn (41% of the global total) last year. Imports were worth £454bn (51% of the UK total).

US halts offshore wind projects, citing national security concerns - what a backwards move for the US and the planet.

You know they were planning to use that real home grown wholesome American wind, none of that fake cheap blow-in wind from the EU or China. 😵‍💫

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.

While Norway still owns everything and has the equivalent of £10tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

Too much focus on expensive bills - the government’s trajectory on energy is right, in fact there is no alt quick fix - our existing generation assets are well beyond their end of life & closing. Nuclear is years away. We need capacity asap to avoid costly imports.

Govts cut real wages/benefits, don't curb profiteering. Corporate appeasement causes inflation and poverty.
