I collected the specimens in Texas and I'm just chuffed that I am able to actually contribute to science as a complete amateur. I'm totally using this as my go-to story when people ask why I'm always taking pictures of bugs in my yard at night.

Yes, my one Laowa lens is extremely sharp and I can deal with the minor design complaints. Unfortunately mine straight up broke, and they ultimately screwed me on the "warranty" repair - which is done entirely via email. They can just decide not to respond to your email, and that's the end of it.

I found it very awkward to use in the field, but probably just didn't give enough time to get used to it. It's not actually made by Laowa so not a good reason to give up on the brand alone. Laowa gave me another, better reason to give up on their brand - which is a shame because I like their gear.
