Paleoart commissions opened! Feel free to contact me.

I have experience working on various books and papers, with the most notable artwork being the cover of the 4th issue of Volume 44 of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.

Drepanosaurs have such character!

Drepanosaurus, a Late Triassic arboreal reptile not closely related to anything living today. #Sciart

They renovated the museum this summer, and I think it has been changed a lot since then.

To brighten up a wet and rainy #FossilFriday, here's my take on the recently described drepanosaur Mirasaura grauvogeli. It's shown among the conifer Voltzia, a plant found in abundance in the same beds as Mirasaura. The pointed sail shape is based on fossil data...

I am working on pterosaur digital artwork with 40+ species in a single piece, based on my pencil+pen drawing that I did 5 years ago.

There is a Japanese Manga where they depicted Diplodocus smashing allosaur's crests with tip of the club like tail, which actually represents fused tail tip caused by bone tumor.

Taking a book to an international conference for autographs? Always best choice. Imagine any people who notice and follow your work abroad. This is how we become friends.

At this visit in Japan for #2025ISAD, I took @getawaytrike.bsky.social's Dinopedia to Japan.

I try not to be political in public as much as I can, but who would ignore when we see idiots who are close with cults, cutting off the research budget, and declaring damn martial law?

My deepest condolences. I saw him at the symposium, which was held in Korea in 2013, when I was a middle school student. Although I never spoke with him, he was one of the giants who influenced me to start walking the pathway to paleontology. His legacy will be remembered forever.

Photogrammetry matters in interpreting tracks and overlooked things that previously not observed, but I think the most important thing is saving data.

Tracks get weathered since they are exposed in situ and damaged by various factors. This could partially save tracksites.

I am opposed to AI products and services because of the extra power they require... IN A CLIMATE CRISIS. I am opposed to AI results - texts and illustrations - because they've been created unethically, via theft and non-consensual use of the work of others. Share if you agree.

Too bad shipping is not available in Asia, I might look for another way to purchase it

Happy #FossilFriday from my favorite fish on the planet, stupid Xiphactinus.

I found this one on accident one morning last October under about 2 inches of chalk and 2 whole bushes.

The teeth are kinda shot, but the rest of it is well articulated and kinda nice!
