At least they have something brewing! I feel like this is a yearly post about what Atlanta is doing

That’s great to hear. Not sure what is the condition of the kiddo but sending thoughts your way.

Also still ignorant that it isn’t a “free market” in what other teams can offer v parent club. MLS gotta open all of this up to grow the league.

On another note, hope the fam is doing ok.

Also plays into the fact that only your parent club can pay you the premium right? MLS structure is so antiquated, would love an update prior to the season switch to help the league grow.

Just log off and hug that family. Trust me.

Really think when the games start people are set up to be disappointed. Wouldn’t expect much in acquisition til the summer with current timelines.

Onana going out seemed to also make a big difference, he played well in the first half and his physicality is needed on a smaller Villa squad.
December 31, 2025 at 1:30 PM
As a Villa fan I share your confidence on Arsenal for this game. Unai going to play for the nil-nil and Villa missing some key pieces won’t let that happen.

And just a terrible one by the Steelers defender. Never found the ball, should’ve been a pick. Fanning is a great watch though.
December 28, 2025 at 11:37 PM
This seems to be everyone in the EPL these days. As a Villa fan this is always true for them but watching other teams they do as well. Just turtle it up if you has a lead at 60. I get wanting to counter but more times than not the counter is a 1 on 2 at best with everyone pulled back.
December 26, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Understatement to say that’s needed. Joe always a good one though.
December 23, 2025 at 10:43 PM
Would be ideal if they were doing that for another team before the deadline
December 23, 2025 at 1:19 AM
If not straight $ id be trying to get Ruiz from them in a deal.
December 18, 2025 at 12:34 AM
I concur with this part and believe it’s the correct takeaway by both you and the org (assuming this is the org takeaway). This team is not close.
December 17, 2025 at 5:29 PM
-NWSL and +American Soccer. Just embarrassing for all the leagues.
December 17, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Fair enough. I’d do the Baribo deal 99/100 times in a team situation like Philly and would hope City would do the same as a fan of the team (don’t think they would previously, hope Wray means they will). People said similar things when Gazdag was dealt (Carnell, Philly punting, etc)
December 13, 2025 at 5:05 PM
I get both the sentiment and sarcasm here but selling players near the end or at the end of their prime years at good rates is what lower budget teams (especially academy ones) should be doing.
December 13, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Would say this does make sense. When you’re a low budget club you have to do your best to sell high and buy low. The the profits and keep dumping into the academy. Something the team here could learn!
December 13, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Deciding to not play the second half seems less than ideal.
December 13, 2025 at 3:28 AM
That is also fair. I’m on record that running it back isn’t what I’d like to see either. I don’t think counting those first handful of games is fair since the players and system were not anywhere close. That being said, upside of keeping the roster is a 4-6 seed to me, I’d rather roll the dice.
November 26, 2025 at 1:12 AM
I get what you’re saying here but also get the thought of that squad played fairly well second half once the coaching change and went back to the 4231. Would want an upgrade signed somewhere but expect that not til next summer if guys are back or not.
November 25, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Open to this as long as it’s TAM and not a DP. Already spending a DP at a non-DP position, don’t want to make it 2.
November 13, 2025 at 1:22 PM
This is the thing I thought would go away but nope, still there.
November 11, 2025 at 1:28 AM
Unplayable or unstoppable?
November 10, 2025 at 11:05 AM
I’d argue leadership being the 5% is the issue
