I want to be more active in here and not just a lurker... but I'm just not a content creator. Should I just speak into the void and hope that someone pays attention?

Trying to not be as negative or a downer like I used to be, but man, it's really disheartening that so many times in the local fandom I still try to make the effort to establish a connection with someone only to have them suddenly stop responding. They read, but don't respond.

It's probably been 8 or 9 years since I stumbled upon the fandom here in the Washington State area. Although I've not been what you would consider "active" within it, I feel like I've seen alot in that time from a sort've outside perspective.
