If I were the judge in that case I would issue a warrant to obtain all of that equipment immediately for forensic investigation and have it executed before ICE can do anything to it. The data is there and can be at least partially recovered, or there is evidence of tampering.

90s was peak music. What new has been introduced that has improved music?

Not that there isn't good music being made, but nothing new has been introduced that elevated it. While a lot (auto tune, TicketMaster monopoly, AI, etc) has made it worse.

I would say the last true improvement was MP3.

I'm actually a bit more on the moderate side, except for all the corporate influence, unconditional support for Israel, and overt suppression of the progressive wing of the party that comes with it.

I was simply stating what I see coming. And I hope the moderates learn and adjust.

Of course. I don't literally mean Mamdani, or even someone very similar to him. I simply mean candidates that don't appeal to establishment Dems. Either because they are not for sale, or because they have evolved beyond the idea that progressive ideas hurt the party and should be suppressed.

Thanks for that... Never seen that word before; made for an interesting read. Fun to think that the same molecule that makes poo stink is what they use to make perfume last, and as a flavor enhancer in ice cream.
November 21, 2025 at 5:57 AM
Please clarify that this is the Democratic Party Establishment. There is a, potentially larger, chunk of the party that will run the next Mamdani, and, like in NYC, they will win. Eventually the establishment will have no choice but to listen. It's the way MAGA took over the GOP so thoroughly.

Your definition of fun and mine are VERY different.
November 21, 2025 at 5:12 AM
Agreed. Which is why I said "well understood". There is very little (if anything) that science would call fully understood. We still research the wheel.

Came to say the same thing. What you smell is one or more molecular components of the poo, or the products of an reaction in the poo or between the poo and the air, not the actual poo itself. Bad smells do tend to warn of bad stuff, but often it's not the molecule causing the smell that is harmful
November 21, 2025 at 5:01 AM
I wouldn't say we don't understand something just because it's still under active research.

We understand how a battery works, yet we learn more about them every day. We understand a lot of things we still research.

Programs can do all the physics calculations about a bike, we understand em.
November 21, 2025 at 4:47 AM
Correction... Centrifugal force (not centripetal force) is what pushes the bike back upright if it starts to tilt/turn and keeps it rolling straight(ish). Most people (myself included) usually say centrifugal when they mean centripetal, and now it appears I have over corrected.

The physics of bikes is very well understood, they are just not very intuitive, so most people who think they know, are probably wrong.

I found this video interesting.

This is why it's virtually impossible to ride a bike with the steering locked. And such a bike will fall over almost immediately.

How bikes work is well understood by physics. But it's not intuitive.

It's not gyroscopic effect. The bike in motion has velocity in the forward direction, when it starts to lean the front wheel turns and the bike turns, centripetal force tilts the bike in the opposite direction and turns the wheel back. So it's stable because any tilt is self correcting at speed.

I assume that was sarcasm?

"Posobiec called it part of a fight against Antifa that started in Weimar Germany"

Missing some context here. The fascists that they were fighting were known as Nazis, and by Western standards the Antifa were good guys.

Disagree? Poll a couple thousand Christians and see how many agree that we should have cut military funding instead of USAID. Guarantee that killing beats helping.

So I am firmly in the camp that the Christian faith has no parameters. It has suggestions. It has ideals that people pay lip service to. But there is not one parameter that the majority adheres to except maybe bigotry, ego, and killing (and the support of it)
November 19, 2025 at 10:22 PM
And no, you can't just say that "our (book of stories) tells us...". If the majority of a faith ignores a tenant of that faith, it can no longer be a parameter of that faith. Like the rules about meat on Friday, divorce, women talking in church, or slavery.
November 19, 2025 at 10:22 PM
When I think of "Parameters of Faith", I imagine things that no adherent can justify breeching and fellow adherents would condemn. But killing is routinely justified away and usually celebrated instead of condemned; killing is more a parameter of faith than the commandment not to kill.
November 19, 2025 at 10:22 PM
There are no "parameters of faith". At best there are normal that many/most adherent's abide by... but even then they can be wishy-washy.

If there were any parameters of faith it would be the 10 commandments. Yet no one kills as easily as someone who is doing it FOR God. The 10 Suggestions.
November 19, 2025 at 7:13 PM
Exactly this. History is full of atrocities committed by people who genuinely believed that it was gods will. In some cases they were directed by someone twisting the faith into a pretzel, sometimes the person did it themselves; either way they were not being hypocritical, it was "gods will"
November 19, 2025 at 4:39 PM
If anything, being a Christian is about having all your bad behavior forgiven. Essentially, people like MJ who should fear for their eternal souls due to their horrible acts, can sleep at night because Jesus loves them and forgives their sins. It's a get out of hell free card; why be good?
November 19, 2025 at 1:46 PM
That's the point... They wouldn't be cops yet. The hope is that pricks who beat their wives wouldn't want to spend two years serving those in need before they get to be cops. It should help ensure a better quality of cop.
