No is the short answer. Modern networks have such low latency and server farms enough distribution and redundancy that they can be anywhere. Some exceptions for incredibly specialised applications.

I recently moved and dug out a LOT of books from storage. Definitely 30 to 40 years old. Not in the best of condition so reading and disposing of them. Very bittersweet. Suspect I'll buy new copies of some 😁

I've mixed feelings on this. Went to St. Petersburg before the war and it was magnificent. Why couldn't Putin just improve his country? Why did he have to destroy it forever 😡

I loved the older Star Trek series, Original, Voyager, Deep Space 9 and even Enterprise. Rest I couldn't get into because by the time they were available I'd already heard all about them online.
