Incredible that *the* big game on the service of the last few months - honestly maybe this whole year - is Hollow Knight: Silksong, which costs less than one month of the subscription fee by itself to own forever

(There are still many great indie games coming to GP; you should just buy them)

A few months ago I was given a 12-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code for coverage. In that time the *financial* value of that code has gone up considerably while the *cultural* value of it has dropped to almost nothing.

Loved Baby Steps, then hated it, then loved it again, over and over, as intended. It’s a game that rejects the notion that it’s meant to “respect your time”, and it’s a bold and confident piece of design. Here’s 1400-ish words about it, from me!
