Got back to Slayers and finished Next (season 2). Decent upgrade from season 1 I dare say. The finale was awesome, I really didn’t expect how the events would unfold. Only disappointment was I really wanted Zoamelgustar to have an actual payoff, oh well, a minor complaint in the grand scheme.

Metroid has had the “Zelda-fication” problem since Fusion. After Metroid Prime 1, the games started to become increasingly more segmented, as well as the enemies doing more damage to the point where Energy acts more like Hearts from Zelda. I think Prime 4 is result of that trend.

When can we start blaming Gen X for the continuation of this downward spiral? They’re in their 50s now, I get blaming Boomers for starting this but the following generations are still on the hook for not pushing back hard enough.

I am cautiously pessimistic about Metroid Prime 4, however I will reserve judgement until I play it for myself. (If I even bother buying a Switch 2 let alone the game itself.)

It’s funny knowing that Hollow Knight released, got popular, had the sequel, Silksong, announced and released in the time I’ve been waiting on Metroid Prime 4.
