I misunderstood what you meant by “do you one better.” This book weaves together this particular volcanic event with the creation of Frankenstein in its aftermath. That’s why I’m focused on this particular event.

Yes, that’s the adult version. This book is written for middle school kids in an extremely engaging voice. One that will keep kids reading.

Yes, I believe there were actually two eruptions, one in each hemisphere. But that’s not my point in posting. This book will help kids understand (and perhaps adults) why climate change is disastrous on many levels, and how important science is, and how social welfare evolved, etc.

Yes, I know. I’m describing how well this book engages kids. It’s extremely well written, and ties into the creation of Frankenstein during this period. And how our current climate change mess is a slow motion version of this event that caused so much suffering and civil unrest.
