This feels a largely redundant thing for him to point out in this economy

Same but Bobby Gould

I hope Starmer responded with something displaying a similar knowledge of Danish popular culture. "Keep your Jannik Vestergaard up" or something along those lines...

(Aware this is niche)

Doesn't he own a little town in Dorset, or did he have to give that up when he became king?

James Goldmsith set up the Referendum Party which more or less became UKIP, whereas his brother Teddy was a founder of what went on to become the Green Party.

Cheers for that, lads

A pie spilt into three pieces, now
January 20, 2026 at 3:18 PM
Nah, the green voter base was split between disaffected rural ex-tories who don't want anything building near them and Corbynite urbanites. The leadership is now sacking off the former (and the environment) and going big on the latter. I mean, fine, but they do not stand up to economic scrutiny.
January 20, 2026 at 12:48 PM
Absolutely! If i didn't have to actually live through the consequences it would be popcorn o'clock.
January 20, 2026 at 11:33 AM
I mean, I kind of get it: the tories are still a shitshow and Labour is moving slower than people would like in turning around profound structural and economic problems but if you think either the greens or reform have the answers then you're in for a rude awakening.
January 20, 2026 at 11:01 AM
I mean, they're obviously just as opportunistic and unserious as Reform but this far out from an election people will tell you they're willing to vote for any old shit, right?

Didn't Descartes do that with dogs? Father of the enlightenment my arse.

I didn't even know they were still a thing but this is one of the 'missions' on their website. Basically, they're coming for you

It took me ages to see it as the white bit being the background. It just looked like four skittles or something.
January 13, 2026 at 8:49 AM
Not to divert from the core message here but has Ian been WORKING OUT?
January 5, 2026 at 4:13 PM
Which is possibly why this guy never made it in international diplomacy, no matter how much people expect this to be our response.
January 5, 2026 at 11:18 AM
WAR! What is it good for?
January 5, 2026 at 10:46 AM
It's theoretically independent but the government has to renew its charter every ten years so it's a bit of a grey area.

I'm not sure councillors in Hackney have a huge say on Middle Eastern geopolitics. I'd stick to bins.

You're unlikely to. If you're not a resident they can't act on your behalf.
October 24, 2025 at 9:22 AM
I think they're using it in this case to mean "I found it mildly inconvenient".

The blue ones aren't mental.
