Fifteen years ago, I threw this picture together in just five minutes in Photoshop to convince my young kids that Santa was on his way. Since then, I’ve seen it pop up on various social media accounts every year. 😂

Helsby Half Marathon in 4 weeks. Today was a tough one, the wind, the rain, the cold. The not wanting to run because it’s close to Christmas. Job done.

Yesterday’s 18:50 parkrun set me up nicely for today’s Aintree 10k—new PB of 38:46 and a sub39!
19th overall and 3rd for my age category 🥉(V50)
Feels crazy to think I was chasing sub40 just a month or two ago. Time to relax before the Helsby Half in January!

Who knew half marathon training would improve my 5k? New season’s best today: 18:50 and a 3rd place finish! Proof that running longer makes you faster… or at least too stubborn to slow down. 😉🥉

Added a Starlink Mini to the inside of the camper. Works through a fibreglass pop top roof. Using a velcro cargo net means easy removal for security. Powered via 12v.
