Software QA, Dog and Cat Lover, trying to get back to Art, Soccer fan (Sounders), Family, Science Fiction (Gibson and Scalzi among others), Mystery & Suspense reader. (The background pic is mine; the sketch of me was just changed to one by Tina Koyama.)
I just finished 3 paintings with Acrylic University; a Landscape Workshop and Challenge. The first I find just OK; the second is my favorite; the third I don't like, due to the foreground trees. (Trees, Water and Atmosphere were the themes.)

4/? (maybe the last in this series) The 6 x 6 pictures I painted of the Aegean Sunrise were in watercolor, gouache, acrylic, soft pastel and water-based ink. Here is my favorite (acrylic).

3/? Here are the previous cell phone covers. Since I'm not happy with the tree, it's never been used. I also painted a set of 6 x 6 inch pictures of that sunrise.

2/? Then I realized I could paint something to put in there. So I painted a couple (a tree, which I've never used, and a sunrise based on a photo I took on a cruise), but I just painted another based on "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" by Hokusai.

I just made a new cell phone cover art. Here's the backstory: I had to get a new cell phone a while back and was disappointed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL I chose was so new the only cover was clear. 1/?

OK, I've been on BlueSky for a while but been pretty silent. Here are three paintings I did as a result of an Acrylic University Landscape Workshop & Challenge, led by Jed Dorsey and Dianna Shyne, who provided the photo references. I've mostly done watercolor, but got interested in acrylics.

Here's the anniversary card I painted at Dunn Gardens in Seattle on Sunday; our anniversary was on Monday. I'm pretty sure she liked it. The focus was supposed to be the Wisteria, but it looks like the tree got it. I guess I should have moved in closer.

Today there was an informal USk Seattle meetup at Seattle's Maple Leaf Reservoir Park to sketch and paint. The Queen of the PNW (known as Mt. Rainier) was out and got watercolored. This is mine. (I overworked the sky and a couple other spots and incorrectly at that. <sigh>)
