I feel like we've known for years that big-time college head coaches usually fail in the NFL, because those are two totally different skillsets, and yet so many NFL "knowers" somehow never imagined it might work the same in reverse.

When stuff like this comes up, I'm reminded of a answer given by Red Auerbach, when he was asked how he gets a star like Bill Russell to accept not being treated any differently from any other player. He said, "Of course I treat him differently, he's Bill Russell." It may not be fair, but who cares?
