Continuing to think about slapstick comedy and remembered this line about Chaplin’s The Great Dictator from Adorno’s “Commitment.”

I’d say the connection TWA draws to horror is on mark, tho it’s a general character of slapstick (belonging to its violent substrate) rather than particular to TGD.

It is in fact quite good, though we upped the garlic and other spicing. (Not very Minnesotan of us to add spicing even though I was born there.)

We’re taking out the grass and replacing the area between the garden beds with native plants and a mulch path. Turkscap (Texas mallow) will go along the fence along with a fountain (that will serve as a bird bath).
