I think it had a rich vein of satirical targets - some as big and obviously pompous as KISS, others less so: early Def Leppard, Saxon, Celtic Frost, etc. But the satire was so deft that even as it guided one to think only of rock stars, it was really satirizing a much broader scope of humanity.
