Thought we lacked width last night, condensed our game too much, and gave us a tough job to cover gaps when Stoke won the ball back. Understand why we played 4 at the back, but think the Christmas tree played right into their strength and size through middle. #boro

OK with the result today, think the starting 11 looked flat and Hackney didn't look the same player we've seen so far this season. Edwards saw what we all saw and changed it, that is a huge step forward from last season. Proactive changes, positive subs, made a difference. #boro

Bought a pristine 1991 Sony 5-disc CD player off eBay, just arrived today. Cost about 40 quid. I always wanted one as a kid/teen but could never afford one. I loaded it with 5 random Shine discs and switched it to shuffle... it's utter musical wonder. Screw Spotify, long live physical media.

Sorry to see Forss leave #Boro, talented player, great touch, excellent finisher, and top workrate. But he was wasting his career waiting for a run of games, and has rarely been used in his actual position. Good luck to him, great signing for Bolton.

As much as this flag stuff is daft, is it not better to just go with it? If every side of the political spectrum owns it does it remove the power the right wing is trying to wield? Or does it validate them? I dunno... seems like a good moment to share this song though...

Can't really find too much fault with #Boro at the minute, Doncaster showed we needed more depth and we've added some. 3 wins have been functional st times, but thats what it takes to get out of the championship sometimes. Looks like it will be a fairly open season so far.

After a solid, if unspectacular, start to summer transfer dealings the signings of Hansen and Nypan are adding some gloss. With their youth, pace, and energy i think we're not far off ready. One more 'proper' forward and I reckon we are there or thereabouts. #Boro

Napkin analysis of Boro. Two full backs in a back 3 doesn't work. That forward 3 isn't good enough in this system. Brynn is safe. Playing an inexperienced centre mid alongside a lad who can't speak English was an accident waiting to happen. Thought Hamilton looked bright (if ineffective). #Boro

While it's been unspectacular, I think Boro's summer transfer activity will end up being shrewd and effective. Adding experience to the 'potential' we've focused on in previous seasons, feels like we're trying to find balance.
