I need some guidance on the proposed California Billionaire's Tax - oag.ca.gov/system/files....

To me, the 2 sections shown are a tool for California's land barons to kill off new taxes on the property they have so carefully protected with Prop. 13.

All interests in any real property held directly by a taxpayer or held via a revocable trust shall not be included in net worth. To the extent valuation of real property is required, the value used for calculating the property factor of the Corporate Income Tax, under Section 25129, is to be used. This Act provides for a tax on net worth, not income, of billionaires. In the event that this measure and another measure that levies a tax or affects the tax rates on net worth (not income) of billionaires, or that provides for use of funds from a tax on billionaire net worth, shall appear on the same statewide ballot, the provisions of the other measure or measures shall be deemed to be in conflict with this measure. In the event that this measure receives a greater number of affirmative votes than a measure deemed to be in conflict with it, the provisions of this measure shall prevail in their entirety, and any conflicting provisions of the other measure or measures shall be null and void.

Update on my Ladybug Fanfic - I was wrong, the Disney OpenAI agreement does not cover Miraculous Ladybug IP. That is owned by ZAGtoons/Miraculous Corp. I now use explicit IP protection when creating character references. My storyboard progress is at www.deviantart.com/inkydelight/... with items like
My fanfic Ladybug story board / web comic is waiting a few days while I compose details in The Burrow. Time Bunny is a French country girl raised on a vegetable farm whose education was interrupted by WWII. She joined the French resistance and became Time Bunny after meeting Master Fu with his miracle box. She is a staunch, sometimes vicious, patriot who has built a simple, peaceful life in The Burrow, despite the flux of living with kwamis and guarding France.

My daughter saw the Rose Parade float from South Pasadena last night and was appalled. Apparently the grinning, thieving, blackface ants were supposed to be blue. Perhaps red would have been a better choice?

Señoras run things. My late mother-in-law was from a Sonoran ranchero family. She married into French/English heritage, and my wife married into German/English heritage. Yes, we eat mashed potatoes, sausage and kraut, but our holiday meals are ranchero - tamales, enchiladas, tortillas and beans.

A company that used Oracle asked me to write a query that counted value frequency in columns of huge wide tables. I told them to open SAS and type "DATA {table} PROC FREQ". They wanted it in PL/SQL. Their specific query ran 8hrs and failed. My generic query ran 3hrs.

Someone called bullshit on my faith in Ukraine winning. Well, ChatGPT shows Russia has spent about 12% of its total military AND CIVILIAN manpower to gain about 12% of Ukraine's land*. Putin will fail long before he sends the last idiot into the meat grinder.

* Mostly fields, not cities

My hope is in the people of Ukraine. They are being forged like iron in the fire. They will defeat Russia. To do so, they will build a country and military that eclipses the United States. The world will then realign into Ukraine vs. China.
