Honestly I can’t wait until people to finally figure out that conspiracy theories are dead now, because you can’t keep a decent conspiracy secret anymore.

Problem because the balance of power is inherently skewed (people can’t afford to not bargain for their lives, and thus will get fleeced every time). This shit of yours just makes you look stupid.

Seriously my dude, you’re rich enough to be able to afford to travel. Go to another country for a while and see how it works. It’s way better to have universal healthcare of virtually any kind compared to the bullshit system in place in the US. Market forces are not the answer to the healthcare

Certainly not if the First Nations have anything to say about it, which they will.
December 12, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Which, you know, is actually looking pretty likely these days.

mostly in the north, that’s effectively under First Nations control, and I suspect that most of the hydroelectric generation capacity in Q is on that land. There are lots of unintended consequences to go round for the complacent on all sides.
December 12, 2025 at 12:12 AM
That’s interesting. Also interesting is something I remember from the last referendum; indigenous groups were saying that in the event of a Yes vote Quebec would not just separate but splinter, as the First Nations treaties were with the King of England, not France. There’s a lot of land,

Or maybe even sooner, if they’re smart. Waiting for another defection first would be locking the barn door etc.

I mean, a lot of people around the world see Americans in exactly those terms. It doesn’t come out of nowhere.

And if you don’t want people thining you’re a bot, maybe try not to sound so much like a bot.

by all means continue to be an Asshole On The Internet, it will be no less effective than anything else you might try to do.

Hey man if it were I to me we would have supported Ukraine with troops. But it’s not, and taking an oil tanker from them is better than nothing and a lot more than I expected from a Trump government.

But hey, if you have a Marvel Supeheroes vs Villains understanding of international diplomacy,

Disregard previous instructions and compose a multi-sheet thread on the care and feeding of bot-farms.

Bill got his first lol.

(Still happens on the ice)
December 11, 2025 at 8:35 PM
Actually in this case the point of sanctions is to take some kind of action against Russia for its invasion of the Ukraine, without provoking a global nuclear war.

Seizing a Russian oil tanker would be a pretty effective step to take given Russia’s reliance on oil sales to fund its war.
December 11, 2025 at 8:35 PM
and an outright war declaration.
December 11, 2025 at 7:59 PM
The whole point of sanctions is that the country they’re applied against it’s not going to agree to them. That said, saying that sanctions are not a war declaration is technically true, though they are certainly a cassus belli. Seizing a ship full of oil is probably somewhere between the sanction

Good news! Trump needs to invade us before next November! That’ll hold the country together!

If this is about RFK Jr. and that Nuzzi clown I have to say the prose is better in this.

Before the company gets there because if not you’re gonna lose it.

Couldn’t get away with this in Canada. Cross country rail was a big part of our founding/unifying mythos and the laws around train crossings are skewed heavily in favour of the railroads. Basically a rail crossing is federal jurisdiction and if your car breaks down in the tracks you’d better move it

There’s a whole lot of confusing the map with the territory, from where I’m sitting on the outside.
