None of your experiences are universal, nor unique. Firmly believe in the right of every person to tell you who they are.
He/him. All the flags.
If you are an ICE agent, what do you think the end game is here for you? What is happening is obviously not sustainable, and the people are rapidly becoming increasingly hostile towards you. Do you think this is going to end well for you?

Because from here, it seems like that’s unlikely.

When I hear “Remember republicans, any norm you ignore can be ignored against you when the Dems are in power,” and I think that’s misleading. They KNOW we see what they’re doing as despicable and evil, so we will not do it. So they know they’re free to be as evil and despicable as they want.

Prediction: in a year, Trump will invade Greenland, and when that doesn’t kick off a war, he will start sabre-rattling about Canada until they have to do something to protect themselves, and will use that as a way to invade Canada. Then, he will use that war to try to suspend elections.

We all know there’s no stopping the Orange-u-tang from invading other countries and making war on anyone who has something he wants.

What we CAN do is make it clear to every corporation that moves into Venezuela and “runs the oil industry” that we, the consumers, do NOT approve.

In 70 years, a movie will come out about a person racing a bunch of MAGA ICE agents to an AI core to stop them from unleashing destruction in the name of their Great Leader, and people will say that it’s silly how they can’t show real evil so they use these obviously evil people.

I’m not sure what can be done, but we are rapidly approaching the point where doing nothing will just not be an acceptable option anymore for ANYONE. It hasn’t been acceptable for anyone with even a modicum of power, but it’s getting to the point that even the least of us will have no choice.
January 3, 2026 at 6:34 PM
Any time someone in power spends a lot of time blaming people who don’t have any power at all, you can pretty much guarantee that THEY are to blame, and are looking for someone else to scapegoat that can’t fight back.

Screaming into the void is fun, but it’s still scary to even whisper what you really need to say.

As a Canadian, Donald Trump thinks we are nasty. Considering who we KNOW he has been friends with, I take that as a compliment.

Conservative parties are inherently worse at balancing budgets. It’s built into their structure.

To balance a budget, you have two options: raise taxes or cut services. Typically, Conservatives cut services while Liberals raise taxes. But there are only so many services you CAN cut. 1/

It’s ALWAYS “rules for thee, not for me” with these people.

If you can refuse to give your kid life-saving vaccines, you should not be allowed to restrict the medical decisions I make with regards to my kids and their gender affirming care.

Gender-affirming care literally saves lives.

🤔 politicians & judges are deeply invested in protecting a parent’s right to ban children’s books & refuse for their kids vaccines.
But parents are NOT allowed the right to make medical decisions for their trans* kids? 🥴

An American Civil Liberties Union lawyer says the Supreme Court decision upholding Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for transgender minors is “a devastating loss for transgender people” and "e...

“When is straight pride month?”

When was the last time a kid was kicked out of their house because they were straight?

When the last kid is kicked out of their home because they’re LGBTQ, or the first kid gets kicked out because they’re NOT, then you can ask that. Until then, rainbows for all.

@dhsgov.govmirrors.com cosplaying as a government agency is one thing, but choosing to do so as the worst agency to exist since the Gestapo? That’s a choice.

I am Canadian, which adds a whole extra layer of privilege to my already privileged life. But I will tell you, I will not set foot in the US if I can avoid it until all the people responsible for the lawless destruction of America are gone.

If you need to ask why, open your eyes.

Are you (like me) middle-age, white, cis-het, male, middle-class, or some combination of the above?

Then it’s your job to stand up and get in the way.

Be noisy. Be annoying. Laugh. When someone comes for others, make sure they know you’re there.

They don’t come for us. Use that against them.

The thing we need to talk about is just how illegal everything about this is.

Sharing active operational information with someone without confirming identity?

Sharing said information on an unsecured device?

Sharing said information in an unsanctioned app?

All Illegal under the Espionage Act.
In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Why do Canadians not want to be American? It’s easy.

Every one of us cares about someone who you be worse off in the states.

I, a white, middle aged, cisgender, heterosexual male of means, would probably be fine in the US. I might even do better there. 1/

A really important point to make is that a lot of people think that Starlink is the only real option for “anywhere” satellite internet. It’s not. There’s a lot of other options available, with a variety of speeds and costs. If you’re looking for alternatives, they’re out there.

There’s a common theme to what is happening on the political stage that reflects a very specific problem with “traditional masculinity”, and I want to know if anyone else sees it too.

Strong men lift up others, knowing that making others stronger helps make the whole community stronger. 1/

I keep reading something that Trump is saying about tariffs: “They’re going to raise revenue. They’re going to help us pay our debt. They’re going to make us rich.”

What he is not saying is WHO pays that money into the debt. Because anyone who understands tariffs knows exactly who pays them.

It’s funny, but there’s actually a logical reason cold-weather countries have more social security systems. And it all comes down to “what is the most dangerous thing around you?”1/
