at the end of the day all genre categorization is arbitrary to an extent but I think it's a little silly to try and deny that e33 should even be considered as an RPG lol

both games have action elements and RPG elements, but Hades is a fully real time action game where you build your character over the course of a run whereas e33 has occasional real time action and more in depth character building over the course of a full game. the ratios are different.

nothing they said even implies action lol, I agree it didn't deserve the sweep but it's definitely an RPG. I think TGA needs more specific categories though because it is a fundamentally different kind of RPG to KCD2 and the other nominees
