Growing up in the 70’s there were only two movies that truly frightened me, that made me sleep with the lights on for weeks. One was “Salem’s Lot,” the miniseries, the other was the criminally underrated “Burnt Offerings.” The chauffeur and that ending wrecked me. Slow burn horror at its best.
