I'm obsessed with these guys on the shit bird app 😀

Ha!

They were incredible mate. Cancelled hotel and last train = £130 taxi home, still couldn't take the shine off it.

Furries and Belle & Sebastian the only 2 I have booked for next year so far. Both £60 ish

I should probably get around to listening to them. I keep meaning to but haven't a clue.
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
Nice one, let's sort something nearer the time. We'll be setting the train and making a day of it 👍

There's nowhere like it. 2 weeks ago I saw Beta Band there. It still takes me back a bit when I see fully grown lifetime gig goers stare open gubbed at it from across the road the 1st time they see it.

Can't recommend Glasgow enough for gigs and stuff. Have you ever been to Barrowlands?
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
Testify Philip! They were pure dead magic

I've just remembered I saw AIR play Moon Safari last month. I'd pay that £75 ten times over to see them again.

Aye, Barrowlands on the Saturday. Be good to meet for a pint if suits 👍

Meanwhile over on Facebook, The Krays would definitely have stopped the boats WITH MACHINE GUNS!
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
Do you think they wrapped their school jotters in shiny A3 Jacob Rees-Mogg posters?
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
Don't take it personally pal. Just try less hard.

Much, much less hard.
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
The awkward thing is this is exactly the sort of tryhard patter the 3 young men pictured would come up with. Verbatim.
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
Yep and yep I also shelled out for The Beta Band and SFA. Agreed, it's definitely a choice for big established artists.
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
I've always been a big fan of digging.

Rhys Benjamin was just 16 when he was a contestant of Countdown. Now, aged 27, he sports a dashing combover, owns a chin curtain beard, and fucking LOVES telling people that he's into Doctor Who.
Rhys Benjamin, wearing a Doctor Who jumper, a combover, and the worst beard I've ever seen. Rhys Benjamin during happier times, as a 16 year old on Countdown.

Aye that's a good summary of where I'm at too. I'll still splash out and go to the odd big one though.
jimmyjazzesq.bsky.social
That's the sweet spot. You know you're getting your money's worth. There are loads who charge that and struggle to put an hour's set on.

Plenty to find if you look but I guess that's my point. Big headline acts are often at it.

I got tickets for me and my dad, went with his best man and my best mate. Was on his bucket list to see them. We saw them 3 times together. They don't half milk a tour!

Bridges to Babylon tour was something else though!

I *wouldn't pay a hundred sheets to see a reunion of The Last Supper!!

I first paid £100 to see The Rolling Stones at Murrayfield in 1999
