This letter in the back of Swamp Thing 23 has to be from writer/filmmaker/Ann Arbor native David S. Goyer, right?

Along the way we saw a ruined spring house. I like to think it inspired Kahn’s design for the Kimbell Art Museum.

The blue concrete block addition is a fascinating echo of the original log cabin structure. Its dovetailed corners are an inversion of the cabins. Its roof pitches echoe the original from every perspective.

Set out to see the studio and didn’t realize there was a Kahn building there too — the Workshop.

Built in 1956, the Workshop was actually a collaboration between the artist Wharton Esherick and architect Louis Kahn. Both signed the building. Neither took credit.

Stumbled on a forgotten Louis Kahn building.

Some photos from a hike last summer to the Wharton Esherick Museum. Hiked there from Valley Forge on part of the Horse Shoe Trail. #architecture

Sometimes I worry this sketch from 15 years ago is the best comic I'll ever make.

Setting up the Scholastic book fair at my kid’s school. Twice as many graphic novels this year. This table is just a small portion.

I’ve always loved this 1913 rendering of the Pierce du Pont house and conservatory at Longwood Gardens. So simple but so effective. Haunting even. #architecture #gardening

Some fun comic book maps and a cutaway from technical wizard Eliot R. Brown. These were all excerpted from the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.

Here’s the tiniest preview of CRAFTSMAN, a short horror story about old houses and old gods told room by room.

It’s been exciting to see this comic come together. We’ve got a great team on it. Can’t wait to share more!

Miracle Molly is such an incredible character. I think about her and the Unsanity Collective a lot. So much potential. They are literally potential. It's their defining characteristic. The Batman run by @jamesthefourth.bsky.social was so good. Just bursting with ideas. #dccomics #comics

I’ve been working on a new comic script for a while and can finally put a face to the name thanks to this incredible character art from @xaviersaxon.bsky.social

It’s way too early to say much more, but I couldn’t resist sharing this art. Now I have to make sure the story lives up to it!

@keezyyoung.bsky.social Just saw Taproot at our local library and had to check it out after seeing your work here. They’re in a temporary location, and are only carrying the most popular titles right now. You’re in great company! Can’t wait to read!

Who's Pugin? To massively oversimplify, he's the reason Gothic Revival Architecture is a thing. Also, he designed this. Mostly. Probably.

Some weekend reading to help kickstart my hist-horror-ical fiction comic script about a secretive architecture guild in the 19th century and the restoration of Rochester Castle. The vibe I'm going for is somewhere between all these. Maybe less red. Maybe.

Seeing my short story, The Beekeeper’s Due, on the big screen at the Eisner ceremony was truly the thrill of a lifetime. Something I’ll never forget. Huge congratulations to the DC Comics team for Finding Batman by Kevin Conroy, which took home the Eisner. Rightly so. Such a brave and moving story.

Detective Comics 442. Another one I’ve been hunting for - and I found 2! This issue includes the only Batman story ever drawn by the legendary Alex Toth.

First up, the comics!
I’ve been looking for a copy of Action Comics 598 for years now. Incredible art by John Byrne. Fun story with a nice twist. And the first appearance of Checkmate. The original Checkmate knight is one of the best designed character in DC Comics history.
