Great afternoon at RMNP last week at the start of the elk rut. I'm sure most of the big bulls were still hiding out at the two golf courses or in town. I'll head back in a couple days when I have more time.

From the Hayden Valley of Yellowstone NP in 2024...
The weather had just cleared in between 2 storms. We were on a small hill to watch and hopefully photograph a pack of wolves when this bison took our spot and decided to just stand there. The incoming second storm made the perfect silhouette.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park (Chaco Canyon) is a fragile archaeological site over 1100 years old. Biden placed a 20-year ban on oil and gas drilling for 10 miles outside the boundaries of the Park to protect the fragile ruins. Let's pray this ban stays in place.

House On Fire ruins Bears Ears National Monument. The monument was created by Obama in 2016, drastically cut in size by Trump for mining and drilling. It was restored in size by Biden. Let's pray that Trump doesn't bring back mining and drilling to this beautiful National Monument.

We watched this beautiful grizzly in Yellowstone's Hayden Valley for what seemed like hours. Until some idiot decided to illegally fly their drone and spook the bear. The grizzly took off across the valley and we all lost out on nature's beauty.

This beautiful grizzly was enjoying snacks from a beaver lodge and flowers. He looked up occasionally to be sure we stayed on the opposite bank of the Snake River between Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone last July.
