Just here for sports and news. But politics can draw me in like a moth to a flame.
If you want to hear his laugh again, he laughed in this video. Funny moment, too. As a La Salle alum, I think in some small way, this article helped push fundraising for new/updated arena over the finish line.

This is definitely a 🤔 type of transaction that sometimes works out for the Union. They could definitely use some depth in the defensive end of the field. Hopefully pick up a natural LB instead of expecting Harriel to play there all season.

Dan highlighted the La Salle pregame ceremony that took place before they renovated the arena. His laugh in the video is infectious. I'm very sad to hear of his passing.

Thank you for sharing. I remember reading Dan's stuff in Philly Magazine (or maybe Philly Voice) before he went over to you guys. I always enjoyed his stuff. I must of missed this article because that place really does mean a lot to Philadelphians (not as much as it was to Dan and his wife, though)

Yup. Exactly the kind of guy this team might need. Though Lukic can act like he has a screw loose sometimes too.

It's stuff like this that prevents the league from being next level. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but offseason player movement drives discussion among fans. You shouldn't need a PhD in MLS roster rules to discuss a player. At this point, it should be a simple salary cap.

I know soccer isn't hockey, but I wonder who the Union's fiery player would be if a harsh tackle was made. With Wagner and Glesnes not here, do you see Lukic being that guy?

Really good article, Jonathan. In the U17 WC, it seemed like there would be some jawing between Cavan and opponents in each game. Do you think other players will be rougher on him because of his potential this year, or will his self-belief (aka cockiness) cause a few harsh tackles?

Their fault for depending on La Salle basketball to do what they wanted. That was actually a decent La Salle team, but from what I remember, they would always have 1 half where they played great, and the other half they would play terrible. It was weird, but I doubt it was intentional.

Maybe for most of the game he was good, but he said some baffling things on the Eagles' last series that were headscratchers: 1) Hurts got tripped up 1st down when he had a chance to pick up yards/score, Brady called it was a blessing in disguise; 2) being in favor of a TO when that was costly
January 12, 2026 at 3:36 PM
On 1st down of that final series, Hurts got tripped up on a scramble and it sounded like he had enough room to pick up a lot of yards (or even score), but Brady said that it was actually a good thing for the Eagles in order to run down the clock and give the 9ers less time.

I'm not saying to fire Sirianni. But I agree that there needs to be changes, starting with the OC. With getting to 2 SBs and winning one of them, Sirianni not only deserves more time, but he must be able to do things right when beings hands-off on Offense. It's odd though, does great in even years.
January 12, 2026 at 3:23 AM
They were 1 play away because of the defense. 2 big INTs and they got 3 points out of it. The 9ers also played with guys off the street and this Eagles offense made them look like the 85 Bears for 90% of their drives. It's been like this all season.
January 12, 2026 at 2:15 AM
Always open doesn't mean that he always catches.
January 12, 2026 at 1:15 AM
Yeah, I get the thought process. But Brady was talking like it was guaranteed that they were going to score. Hasn't he watched the Eagles' offense all season?

As a Birds' fan, at least the band-aid is ripped off and I don't have to watch that offense for another week.
January 12, 2026 at 1:15 AM
But at least we got a controversial non-holding call on the Niners TD that we can complain about. And I don't have to feel like shit watching the game anymore this year.

2026 is an even year. Let's hope this team can keep the streak going.

From start to finish, that game encapsulated the 2025 Eagles. Drive killing penalties, poor clock management, an offense that looked like SB winners for 2 drives a game, terrible every other series. Made a poor defense look like the 85 Bears. Eagles D played really good, but not good enough.
January 12, 2026 at 1:07 AM
Brady's insight: Glad Hurts got tripped up on the 1st down scramble in order to run down the clock.

Fire a coach who has been to 2 Super Bowls in 4 years. You sound like a WIP sports radio caller, Mina. They need to replace the OC.

I know Nick's demeanor isn't great and he has a cocky face, but if Tomlin and J. Harbaugh gets decades for a SB win, shouldn't Nick?

Is she, really? Maybe she should worry abput keeping her house in order before worrying about arresting ICE agents, which her department wouldn't even perform.

He shot the side of the windshield as the car was turning away from him. The shooter then continues fo fire at her from side of the car next to driver side window. Clearly murder at that point. If he only shot once while in it's path, then it's more defensible.

I think white cap was a citizen. The agent that killed the woman is in front of the agent next to the window. The video shows the driver trying to drive away, not try to hit the agents. The shooter was partially hit by the car, but he chose to draw his weapon instead of stepping out of the way.

We use I-70 in order to snake over from Philly to I-81. Always enjoy seeing that sign. Very interesting about it's eastern terminus. Gotta love the killing of neighborhoods in order to save minutes for folks going north on 95.

A good podcast listen on highways and opposition is "The Big Dig".
