Americans are basically trapped within their own borders. Unless you appear white, straight, and non-disabled, you will be a target of this administration when you try to return to the U.S.

Controlling the types of people they don't like within U.S. borders. It starts by making visible their efforts regarding the arrival of foreigners, but it's probably being done now as a way to hide the efforts they are making to surveil U.S. citizens already here.

An argument can be made that the younger half of GenX (born 1972 to 1980) was already poorer than their parents. But I agree with your assertion, as *100%* of Millennials have been subject to that environment since they became adults.
