Feel like we are at our best with Bogle or Gudmundsson getting forward so I would favor moving them up to wing backs and playing with a back 3. FWIW, I don't think Farke would shift his formation to a back 3... #LUFC

No real bite defensively. Sat back and undone time and time again by their quality. Farke has to figure out his away tactics. #lufc

But it can score two straight goals.

Why not sub in Justin for Aaronson? Putting Tanaka out wide seemed to disorganize us defensively. #lufc

No idea why, but I have a VERY good feeling about this project.

Injury to James looks bad. Ramazani loan looks worse with each passing week. We look hard to score against BUT we'll wear down by the end of December if we are always forced onto the back foot for the last 30 minutes each match. This is what an incomplete transfer window will get you. #lufc

Jesse Marsch can go kick rocks. #lufc

#MLS is returning to form as a retirement league that capitulates to their Messi/Apple overlords. Joke of a league, run by a commissioner with a history of putting sporting merit behind capitalist expansion, No integrity. Better soccer is out there. No reason to pay Apple for this nonsense.

Terrible line-up. Results matter.

#USMNT Ask yourself why no US fans show up to your USMNT games? Empty stadiums and apathetic players are what a mismanaged soccer federation looks like. No manger in the world will fix this. With that said Poch has been a massive disappointment. Joke of a line up against a top 25 team.

Hakim Ziyech and Brownhill (probably), but only if the wages were right. But wouldn't #lufc have to cut someone to free up a roster spot? If so, who would be the likeliest candidate?

Played like the fools we've been all window. #lufc

So let me get this straight. We'll keep 4 keepers, but Ramazani was one winger too many? #lufc
September 1, 2025 at 7:14 PM
In order for us to get any result out of this, we will need to be clinical with our chances and then stay organized in the midfield and along the back. We will find the back of the net but bad giveaways will be our undoing.
Optimistic 1-1
Realistic 1-2
Pessimistic 1-4

After spending 100M are we actually worse? Asking for a friend. #lufc

IMO: looked better in action than on the rack... but still looks like a 3rd kit. Not great. Not terrible. Just a 3rd kit. Sorry I don't think I came close to answering your question.

Lets play 'Who am I?'

Hints: I had good positioning in front of goal. I couldn't finish 3 decent chances. I skied one from the spot.

Who am I?

No sir, I am sorry, Patrick Bamford is not the correct answer.

We were looking for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Thanks for playing.

Make no mistake — there was no win hiding on the bench. The real issue was the XI and no halftime tweaks. Farke has to be more pragmatic. This wasn’t a game for Gnonto or Piroe. Aaronson wide, Nmecha up top made more sense. Taking points off top 6 will require smash-and-grab tactics.

The very two I would sub off at the half

Good depth on bench up top and in the midfield. Defense looks thin due to suspension and... where is Schmidt?

Think we’re aiming high for a No. 9 (like Muniz), but the market’s tough. Sargent had a G/A every 125 mins last season comparable to Piroe’s 119. At £15–20M, he strengthens the squad—team-first player too. Won’t keep us up alone, but frankly those type of players are not in our price range. #LUFC
