I used to conduct funerals. I used to ask bereaved people what they preferred: "died?" "passed away?" ”lost?"
My personal preference is died or dead, but many are more comfortable with euphemism. They need to be allowed that.

One should never confuse a country with its people. And I most certainly do not. The USA is a rogue state. It no longer deserves a place among civilised nations. We in Europe must treat it as hostile. That means no US military here, no US travel here without v good reason. Won't happen.

This news has only been released here in the UK in recent hours, and then nothing about the timescale. At the time of posting piracy was the most obvious conclusion, indeed, the one most widely promulgated. Timely communication by the rogue state might avoid rogue status.

Nope. Can't trust an "ally" only when it has the "right president." We in Europe need to recognise that the US is no longer dependable, probably potentially hostile. End of story.

I can only go by the video which I'm assuming we both watched. Which shows a narrow UK pavement and the robot stopping but not moving out of the way.
