I wouldn't worry too much in the absence of evidence. Coyotes likely wouldn't take a fresh kill into a strange/risky place, and likely wouldn't leave it behind if they had to flee. On the other hand, raptor snatch rabbits all the time only to realize they're too heavy and have to jettison the cargo.
